While we are in the very early stages of exploring what’s possible with large language models (LLMs), it’s becoming increasingly clear that the interface for how we interact with commerce, financial services, and the internet will change. Today, humans are at the center of most of these interactions. In the coming years, AI agents may become the primary customers or interface for many financial services. In short, the more an LLM dictates an application's behavior, the more "agentic" it becomes.

At the same time, the way money moves is changing rapidly, in favor of more modern financial infrastructure. Real-Time Payment (RTP) systems are gaining traction in some of the largest economies (Brazil & India to name two), and blockchains are emerging as the most efficient way to move money globally. A crypto wallet with stablecoins is quickly becoming a credible alternative to a US bank account for many people around the world.

The combination of these two trends means that commerce and finance are about to undergo a massive change in the coming years.
